By accessing or using CredsCheck ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including organizations and their team members.
CredsCheck is an automated credential and background check monitoring service that retrieves and reports status information from third-party government and regulatory websites. CredsCheck provides notifications and status updates to help users stay informed. It does not independently verify, certify, or guarantee the accuracy of any information retrieved from third-party sources.
CredsCheck is an informational tool only. The Service provides status notifications to help you make faster, better-informed decisions. CredsCheck does not make, and is not responsible for, any hiring, employment, contracting, or other decisions made by you or your organization. All decisions based on information provided by the Service are made solely at your discretion and risk. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing employment decisions, background checks, and the use of credential information.
CredsCheck retrieves information from third-party government and regulatory portals. We do not control the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information maintained by those sources. Status results reflect what was displayed on the source website at the time of the check and may not reflect real-time conditions. You should not rely solely on CredsCheck results as the definitive record of an individual's credential or background status.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for ensuring that all team members added to your organization agree to these Terms.
The Service operates on a prepaid credit system. Credits are purchased in advance and consumed as checks are run. Credits are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. Unused credits do not expire. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. All payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms of service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate legal basis to submit individuals' personal information to the Service. CredsCheck stores check results, screenshots, and associated data to provide the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties. Data handling is further described in our Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CREDSCHECK AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY DECISIONS MADE BASED ON INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CredsCheck and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or any decisions you make based on information provided by the Service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, unused credits are non-refundable except as required by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Alabama.
